NewsEditors showcase new albumEditors previewed six new songs from their forthcoming second album in London tonight (May 23). The Birmingham quartet treated the crowd to new tracks 'Bones', 'Escape The Nest', 'The Weight Of The World', 'The Racing Rats', title track 'An End Has A Start' and forthcoming single 'Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors' during a blistering 65 minute set at the Roundhouse. The band also laced their set with old favourites 'Munich', 'Bullets' and 'Blood', which were all greeted with huge cheers. Acknowledging their forthcoming second album, singer Tom Smith, who was dressed in a white polo shirt, said: "You know the drill we have got a second album coming out so we've got to play new songs. So bear with us." Of the new material, the crowd were most receptive to 'Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors' and b-side 'You Are Fading', which Smith described as "the best song we have ever put out on a record". As the band launched into 'Fall', Smith was left without his guitar for most of the song after the strap broke. The band eventually drew the show to a close with crowd favourite 'Fingers In The Factories' as Smith urged the audience "to try and remove the roof" off the venue for their set closer.
